Thursday: My first paper-free day

Today, I sent my query letter over to The Corporate Writer for some professional help. Thanks Kay Camden for the idea!

While I’m waiting to hear about the state of my letter, I’m giving my last 50 pages a quick once over. I think I need to expand the opening paragraph of my novel, or maybe even change it completely, and I want to see if I do this directly after finishing the ending, I will get some new ideas on how the book should open.

Yeah, I’m a little like James Joyce.

  1. Yay! Hope it helps you as much as it helped me.
And speaking of opening pages, check out floggingthequill.com. You can have your first page critiqued for free. It’s also extremely helpful reading other “floggings”.

  2. No idea. I’ve been reading it for a long time…
