Tuesday: GD Critical Writing

My plan to get some editing done first thing in the morning has been going well!  My schedule used to be something like this: write/edit for 7-10 days, and then take the same amount of time off.  Sometimes I’d come back to my book and forget characters’ names.  I don’t have that many characters.  Now though that I work on it everyday, I don’t have to spend anytime getting reacquainted with it, and therefore work more efficiently.

But, my MFA program sprung a 25 page paper on me, so I spent a couple hours this morning outlining it.  I feel now like I can’t even look at my novel pages.  Could two hours of thinking critically really have exhausted my writing energy for the day?
