Sunday: I’ll sleep when I’m done

I am finding that one of the symptoms of novel writing is feeling like I can never really relax.  Vacations never really feel like vacations, and days off are usually filled with obsessive thinking about the future of my book.  I wonder if this will go away or if I’ll still feel like this after it’s published.

My main character is similarly tightly wound.  At least I can use myself to make her more realistic.

  1. GOOD MORNING ANNIE:
SOMEOME ONCE SAID “WRITING COMES EASY, IT’S JUST A MATTER OF STARING AT A BLANK PIECE OF PAPER UNTIL YOUR FORWARD BLEEDS”..

  2. you mean you are using your similar tightly wound character to make you more realistic???

    i think doug meant forehead?

writing comments on your blog with this charcoal background and white text and red underlines where i’ve broken a rule reminds me of programming TRON or inputting sequences that could have dire consequences for peter and olivia…

  3. No!

I don’t think Peter and Olivia can handle any more direness. Have you seen them lately? They’re in rough shape.

Now I can’t get bleeding foreheads out of my mind.
