Tuesday: You’re going to make it, Fifth draft

I’d like to think that my fifth draft is my novel’s best version of herself, but she’s been through a lot over the last 20 months. She wants desperately to be loved and accepted, but she’s learning that it doesn’t make much sense to try and be something she’s not.

That’s not to say that she’s going to go searching the racks at goodwill for her old pair of overalls.  She’s beginning to understand that being yourself isn’t necessarily attainable or advisable.  But that’s ok.  It’s something to write about.

  1. ITHINK I AM STARTING TO LIKE HER, BUT I AM NOT SURE YET, SHE SORT OF SCARES ME…

  2. It’s ok. She scares herself too, a little bit.
